The next International Skeletal Dysplasia Society (ISDS) Meeting will be held in Toronto, Canada, August 26–29, 2026 and hosted by The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), Toronto, ON. Founded nearly 30 years ago, ISDS is a non-profit society of 300 members worldwide, dedicated to advancing scientific progress and uniting leading specialists in skeletal dysplasias.
Conference Objectives
- Advance Characterization: Highlight recent progress in clinical, radiological, genetic, biochemical, and molecular understanding of skeletal dysplasias, including updates on classification and newly discovered genes.
- Explore Pathogenic Mechanisms: Discuss fundamental research using cellular and animal models to uncover disease biology and mechanisms.
- Improve Diagnosis: Address challenges and innovations in diagnosing skeletal dysplasias across all ages, with emphasis on integrated approaches and prenatal/lethal forms.
- Share Clinical Insights: Present findings from large cohort studies, focusing on long-term outcomes, natural history, and phenotype expansion.
- Enhance Management & Treatment: Promote multidisciplinary care strategies and review current and emerging therapies, including ethical considerations and access to treatment.
